Are we witnessing the euro end game?

With all the goings on in Europe are we in the process of witnessing the end of the euro? It certainly feels like it at the moment. Even the IMF are talking about a Greek exit from the system.

This is going to be a very troubling few weeks for all of us in Europe because if this does happen it will effect everyone. It will make the crisis' we have seen up to now look like a blip. This is nor because of the fact that Greece has left but because a country can leave. If Greece can do it what about Spain or Italy?

At the end of the day the so called "European Project" has failed and it is now impacting the world economy. Decisions around Europe are being made for Political reasons and not for the right financial reasons.

The numbers were fudged in order to bring this into operation and now its payback for the fudge.

With all of this going on guess who is going to lose out? You and I.

If they want to keep this going then the current Euro zone will need to move to a single Fiscal structure and away from sovereign states having control over their own fiscal destiny but how many countries are going to do this?

As I said earlier its going to be a interesting few weeks and I for one intend to keep up to date with the goings on.

Medical Coding and Billing Experts at Billingparadise

Do you remember the name of the patient you met last week?

There are a million reasons why it is essential that you do! Medical organizations have woken up to the reality that patient centric health care services can increase the revenue and goodwill of a practice. The technological upheavals in the medical billing and coding services industry, though lessening the burden of physicians have also led to reduced time spent with a patient.

Objectifying patients is not the best way to run a practice

Physicians are striving to know a lot more about their patients than what information they can find in the face sheet. It’s been proved time and again that it can help not just in physician – patient relationship but also in facing medical billing audits and claim denials. A denied medical coding claim can be handled effectively if both the patient and physician are in the same corner.

	Storm in a tea cup

The importance and benefits of patient engagement has been reemphasized again through an enlightening discussion on Linked in recently. Not just on Linked in, patient engagement has been the subject of many a conversation and discussion in recent times, as patients feel that they are being commoditized, and individual attention is as scarce and rare as snow in spring. Doctors moan about the volume of work that they have to do in order to comply with the norms and standards for medical care services.

The era of doctors providing medical care alone, has changed. Now they have to maintain a medical billing cycle that brings in the revenue, and one that has to evolve and keep up constantly with the periodical changes in the medical coding and billing system.

The story of the runaway medical biller!

Retaining medical billing staff is a miracle that very few physicians can achieve. Medical billing professionals have the option of working for another organization, setting up their own medical billing practice, working from home or become a freelancer. It is a job that is much in demand and nobody is aware of it more than your medical billing team. Physicians spend the better part of their waking hours, convincing their medical billing team to work fast, pleading them not to leave and, yes, also file and maintain medical data.

It doesn’t come as a much of a surprise that doctors hardly ever engage with their patients.

	When in pain outsource

Outsourcing can be one effective pain killer for medical billing pains. But what’s that got to do with patient engagement? Everything! Tasks that can be done outside the medical organization such as medical transcription or medical billing and medical coding services could be outsourced.

It can help doctors to spend the extra hours they gain, on their patients. With so many accredited medical coding services in the field, all you have to do is make an informed choice. And focus on the need of the hour, patient engagement.

Great news for Teeside and the Noeth East of England

Its great to see in the news this lunchtime that the Blast furnaces in Teeside are being lit again and that steel production will begin again soon. This on top of the announcement that Nissan will build its new car in Sunderland is fantastic news for the North East.

At last we seem to be moving toward a recovery in the industries we are, and always have been, good at. This is not down to politics but down to the working people in the UK and their skills and ethic.

For too long we have shipped these kind of jobs overseas but this may be changing!

I hope that this isn't a flash in the pan and that other types of industry can also get these type of successes. As the powers that be keep telling us the only way out of this mess is if we start making things again.

Considering that is now over 2500 jobs in the North East in the last month - its a good start!!

The tax issue - missing the point

I am getting really annoyed with all the press time being spent on the tax issues at the moment. The real issue is the fact that most of the large corporations in the country do not pay there fair share of tax. They have enjoyed cosy relationships with the HMRC for the longest time and that's where the focus should be.

I am also getting frustrated with statements being made about certain types of ways of running your small business as tax avoidance schemes. I run my business through a personal services company not to avoid tax but because that is the industry norm within freelance IT. The agencies and others that I work through will not touch sole traders or partnerships so limited company setup is the preferred option.

The final point I want to rant about is that all this focus is really detracting from the fact that we need to get business growing in order to get out of the mess we are in and we need to stop demonizing wealth and wealth creation to get the economy growing again.

Good for the BBC

I thought I would post a positive shout for a change after the last few with the issues we are having in the UK.

I was very impressed this morning to see that the BBC are going to do live feeds of every sport in the Olympics. How good is that!!!

	bbc.in/HGyldy

At least some of the minority sports will get some coverage they never normally do. I also think that because of the way the BBC is funded they can do this kind of thing.

I am really looking forward to the games and I hope that we do it as good as we can in the UK.

Big Brother Will be Watching You.

After the debacle of last week it looks like the government are just about to slip up on the next banana skin.

There are several articles around the press today stating that they want to bring in legislation to be able to monitor everybody's email and web traffic.

What is even more disappointing about this is that both of the coalition parties were opposed to a similar proposal from the previous labour government.

As the article I have linked to below states this will put the UK on a par with China and Iran, so we better be careful and make sure that this doesn’t become UK law.

What a shambles!

What a shambles we have as a government in the UK. In the week where we saw petrol panic and pasty panic it’s unbelievable that there is not street protests at the situation we are in.

To make matters worse we have an opposition that cannot oppose. So, as a people we have the worst of all worlds.

The question I ask is how did we get to the situation where we have an incompetent government and an incompetent opposition who were just stumbling from crisis to crisis and this, and a time when we need really strong leadership.

Considering that a lot of these people’s background is in PR I cannot see how they handle this so badly.

With the dire economic situation I cannot see how this bunch of idiots on both sides help us.

It’s going to be fairly interesting to see what happens over the next few months if things get worse.

Government needs to do more to support manufacturing

This is a really interesting news item from the BBC.

	http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-17365924

It looks like the government is not walking the walk when it comes to supporting business. Unless they start helping people like this guy how are we going to get out of this recession.

On another point I find it amusing that the Dragons turned him down and he has gone on to even greater success.

I used to like the Dragons Den program but I have to say I couldn't watch it as they were all rude to the people appearing and it was no longer a business program.

At least there is one person in this country that is trying to kick start the economy, by making things again. We will get things moving again, after 30 years of market forces & no such thing as society. Now is the time to have a target for the whole country to put the Great back into Britain again. All working for the good of each other and not against each other, for a fast buck!!!!
